Meguro city opens public facilities such as gymnasiums of elementary schools to promote exercise by various sports for local resident. On every 2nd and 4th Saturday, Sugekari elementary school is used for introducing Mini volley during 6 pm and 9 pm.

On November 23, a university student made the first step of Mini volley there.

First of all, she tried “pass” using the ball of Mini volley. Interesting point of pass of Mini volley is using only one hand. Regular volleyball uses two hands or two arms. But one hand gives better ball control in Mini volley.

Next practice was “serve”. Serve is the first troop to gain points. If she gets the tips, she can be a scorer soon.

After that, she practiced in real games. On that day, ages of participants are from 10 year to 69 year old. But there is no problem of the differences in ages, gender, beef, height, and so on, in Mini volley! We all enjoyed together and made a good exercise.

In this photo, you can see the chairman of Tokyo Mini Volley Association with his grandkid. In outside of the court, the son of the chairman (or father of grandkid) is sitting and cheering for them.

How wonderful it is! This is one of the greatest thing of Mini volley and I love to see everyone enjoy Mini volley with their family and friends.

This events opens for mainly beginners. Everyone who is interested in is welcome!

Also, MV Abiko welcomes everybody anytime. If you come to MV Abiko, we will teach you how to play Mini volley in very very kind way!
