On June 6, 2021, we held the 28th Mini Volley Kanto Festival. Due to the condition under state of emergency for COVID-19 related situation, the number of participants were  limited so that we again hold the game within the circles belonging to Tokyo Mini Volley Association and Tokyo district.

The matches were held in three divisions, women, men, and mix, that were not have any divisions based on ages. Each teams are decided firstly by circles, and secondly by men and women numbers to let all participants play in the match. Some teams were so-called instant teams that were gathering different circle members. In addition, mix was not really mix, some had two men and two women, some had three men and one woman, and the other had four men.  So, everything was irregular but we enjoyed a lot.

In the opening ceremony, Mr. Takamich Suzuki, executive advisor of TMVA, showed up surprisingly to give a speech to cheering us up to have a great time!

The player oath was made by Ms O of MV Saitama, who was asked only 5 minutes before the opening ceremony. Her heart beat so fast and we might hear her heartbeat… But she did it very well!

At this time, we accommodated players between circles, so that MV Abiko gave players to other teams and asked players to help our team as well. One of our player, MM, joined a women team, BiuRA, and had a great match with our MV Abiko women’s team. I joined MV Meguro mix team and had a good opportunity to know further the team members well.   TI from MV Saitama helped our men’s and mix team. He came to our practice every week and sometimes gave us advices. KI from AsuRA helped our mix team. He kept cheering up our members too much to let his voice go hoarse. We had good helping members and had good matches. We thank them very much!
